Where Corruption is popular for everyday live in Burma

Where Corruption is popular for everyday live in Burma

Corruption in Burma is incomparable to any other countries as it is unique and different attitude in the people of Burma. All people are thinking is "how he or she has to make a profit from someone else or from a circumstance". If there are 5 hierarchical order of government staff, 4 of them will be thiniking how he or she can make extra cash from his position. Only one of them is not thinking about corruption because he has no chance to be able to do so. The same attitude and course of action apply to military personnel. A couple years ago, over thousands of state personnel including officers from military were taken legal action over corruption. Actually, those who take action over corruption are also corruptive including Than Shwe and his relatives and friends. But, it is not accountable for those responsible dictators as they are above the law. I think that corruption is the main element to get rid of in Burma whether we move towards Democracy or remain stronger dictatorship system.
That is why any kind of sanctions on Burma should not be lifted as long as corruptive regime is in power. Taking into account of real circumstance of the people of Burma is the first priority to consider before you involve in any operation for Burma.

  1. Thanshwe is not corrupt, he just cheats.
He cheats his wife by keeping ET near him as a Taung Nan Hsan Mipayar (minor queen), he cheats his children by not handing over the throne before becoming an insane. He cheated the rich family by not returning the diamond ornaments he lent for his daughter's wedding (by killing them), he cheats the devil by not returning to hell, he cheats the heaven by imposting as an angel, he cheats the poor by over taxing, he cheats the Voodoo king by executing a coup de tat, he cheats the green zombies by sending them to die.
